About PFB

Built on heat, discipline and detail

PFB Refractory Services (Pty) Ltd is a wholly South African specialist contractor operating from Zinniaville Industrial Park in Rustenburg, at the heart of the platinum belt.

Our story

From the shop floor up

PFB was founded by refractory tradesmen who spent their careers inside converters, furnaces and boilers. That origin still shapes how the company runs: scopes are estimated by people who have laid the brick, and supervision comes from artisans, not administrators.

Today PFB delivers turnkey refractory scopes across the platinum, ferrous and petrochemical sectors — demolition, installation, rebuilds, structural steel and copper elements — supported by inspection and consulting work that helps clients plan the next campaign instead of reacting to the last failure.

Work is executed to documented method statements with full risk assessment, PPE compliance and quality records. Vessels are handed back with a signed QA pack and a controlled heat-up curve, not just a clean floor.

PFB is supported by its strategic partner, RMS Refractory & Metallurgical Solutions — representatives of CNBM International and the CMAX range — giving our crews access to internationally supplied, quality-assured refractory materials and metallurgical support.
